Adelaide Park Lands Sports Infrastructure Master Plan

Completed: June 2014

Client: Adelaide City Council

The Sports Infrastructure Master Plan for the West and South Park Lands Sporting Precincts was commissioned by the Adelaide City Council, in partnership with the Office for Recreation and Sport, to provide clear direction for the future planning, development and management of sport and recreation infrastructure throughout the Park Lands.

The Master Plan is an aspirational 10 year plan, designed to be practical in its implementation, with key priorities and recommendations identified to be deliverable within the first three years of implementation.

The Master Plan was developed in close consultation with existing user groups, sporting clubs, schools, state sporting bodies and government stakeholders and builds on the strong local, regional and international reputation of the Park Lands.

The Master Plan provides Adelaide City Council, the South Australian Government, sporting organisations and educational institutions with a united and clear plan to providing sports infrastructure in the Park Lands, and in maximising their use for the benefit of the South Australian community.
