Michael's work history includes major event planning and delivery in Sydney and Manchester (Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games). He also has international experience in sports facility and stadia development, having worked with the UK's largest sporting charity, the Football Foundation, as a consultant advising on, developing, and managing sports facility development projects.
Before launching insideEDGE, Michael worked for a number of consultancy practices in both London and Melbourne, managing a variety of projects for sport, government and community organisations. Extensive consultancy experience within these sectors, combined with experience in managing leisure facility and services contracts in local government, provides Michael with a well rounded approach to consultancy from planning and management perspectives.
Gavin is a dedicated tertiary qualified leisure professional with 15 years experience in managing local and state government projects and in leisure facility management.
Gavin’s work history has included the management of leisure facilities and programs with the YMCA and extensive leisure facility contract management experience, having managed the contract operations of the Nillumbik Shire’s five major sport, leisure and aquatic facilities.
In a previous role as a State Facilities Consultant for Sport and Recreation Victoria, Gavin delivered a range of major capital works projects as part of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games program. Gavin’s diversity of experience in facility planning, delivery and management, combined with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills at community, executive and government levels provides him with great knowledge to advise on strategic, business, operational and policy development projects with insideEDGE.
Senior Sport and Recreation Consultant
Adrian is a dedicated sport and leisure industry professional with more than seven years’ experience working within Local Government and the community sport and leisure sectors.
Adrian’s work history has included government sport and recreation management, sports club development, facility and reserve master planning, capital works and project management. Adrian also has extensive experience within community sport having held positions on Parkland and Athletics Reference Groups within his own community.
Adrian’s particular interest in the development of grassroots sport combined with his professional background provides him with the necessary experience and technical capabilities to support sport and leisure strategic project delivery, consultation, research and stakeholder engagement.
Lisa’s commitment to the sport and leisure industry spans 15 years at the executive level in the community sport environment and includes business planning, funding procurement, major facilities development and stakeholder management.
Her work history includes strategic human resource management, contemporary governance and corporate communication within the local government environment and consulting on government partnerships, infrastructure and planning with AFL Victoria.
Lisa has also managed her own property development business, overseeing all facets of business operation from strategic planning to marketing, financial management, project management and staff and resource allocation.
Lisa’s professional experience and her knowledge of community based sports management, particularly in a regional context, sees her perfectly placed to deliver insideEDGE specialist community engagement processes. Lisa will also oversee all facets of insideEDGE business operation and the planning and delivery of company projects, products and services.
Senior Consultant - Sport, Recreation and Open Space
Kelly has been a professional within the sport, leisure and open space industry for over 10 years, with experience at both a state and local government level in South Australia. Kelly leads insideEDGE's South Australian office, bringing the trademark insideEDGE quality and innovation to the South Australian government, sport, recreation and community sectors.
Her work history includes managing the Active Communities Team at the City of Holdfast Bay in Adelaide, where she was responsible for a large portfolio including Sport, Recreation, Open Space, Club Development, Volunteers, Social Planning and Community Development, Community Centres, Youth, Arts and Culture. She has also held roles working in the South Australian Government's Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure, coordinating the Planning and Development Fund grant program, which focused on open space and public realm projects across South Australia.
Kelly provides a unique area of knowledge and expertise within the insideEDGE team in the Open Space and Active Lifestyle field, as well as her industry leadership qualities from her six years on the Parks and Leisure (PLA) SA/NT Board.
Sport and Recreation Project Consultant
Tahlia has over nine years experience working in a wide range of industry sectors including community recreation programming, disability sport and recreation, regional sporting body governance and management, as well as health and community development.
Prior to joining insideEDGE, Tahlia was employed as an Active Lifestyle Coordinator in remote Western Australia, where she developed and implemented various sport and recreation initiatives to encourage participation in the wider community. She also has significant experience in regional (AFL) Football and Netball management and operations from her time at AFL Wimmera Mallee (Western Vic Football Inc.)
Since joining insideEDGE at the beginning of 2016, Tahlia has delivered various projects including the Victorian Government's Female Friendly Sports Infrastructure Guidelines, the first document to recognise and outline drivers for change in the culture and design of sport and recreation clubs and facilities within Australia.
Sports Industry Analyst
Matt has worked as a sport and leisure professional for over four years across a range of roles including business and industry analysis, marketing and data visualisation. Before joining insideEDGE, Matt was employed as a Sports Business Planner, where he assisted in the development of recreation and sports strategies across Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.
Matt is well versed in all things digital, as a Social Media Manager for a Red Cross subsidiary and a Director of Digital Marketing for the Sports Environment Alliance, he has successfully contributed to the start-up process, growth and promotion of these not for profit organisations.
Since joining insideEDGE in early 2016, Matt has driven a number of technological and project innovations and has been responsible for the growth of our company services to now include data visualisation, dashboard reporting and GIS mapping.
Kate is insideEDGE's Business Administrator overseeing the general office administrative functions for both the Melbourne and Adelaide offices, including bookkeeping, liaising with clients and service providers, and assisting the insideEDGE team to deliver a range of projects. Kate is also experienced in project and contract management, and event planning and delivery.
Prior to joining the insideEDGE team, Kate worked as an Executive Officer for her local Bendigo Community Bank and volunteered as Chair of a local not for profit childcare centre. Previously she has worked for the Victorian State Government as Contract Manager for the Docklands Film and Television Studios Project and as a Consultancy Project Manager for the University of Melbourne.
